CLASSES
JEWELRY CLASSES BY NAOMI!
Learn to make the following:
BASIC BEADING ~ $30 FOR 2 HOUR CLASS 11:00 – 1:00 Friday, Saturday and Sunday
In this two hour course, you will learn:
> the different types of wire and cord
> how to begin a strand
> how to use Guardians and how to attach clasps
> how to finish off your necklace.
> I furnish two Guardians and Crimp Beads.
BASIC BEADING SUPPLIES
You can purchase these at the show or bring your own.
>Beads of your choice- we will be making a beaded necklace.
>49 Strand Beadalon .018
>2 clasps
>2 toggles or one toggle and one clasp for necklace
>A bead board – to design your necklace
BASIC WIRE WRAPPING ~ $55 FOR 2 HOUR CLASS 2:00 – 4:00 Friday & Saturday
1:30 – 3:30 Sunday (the show closes at 4:00 and ealier starting time gives time to finish project.)
In this two hour course, you will learn:
> different types of wire
> different sizes and shapes of wire
> hardness of wire and it’s importance
> how to determine how much wire you need for your project
> tools to use with wire wrapping
> how to shape & bend wire
> how to make a traditional pendant
I furnish copper wire to make a Traditional Pendant.
BASIC WIRE-WRAPPING SUPPLIES
>A STONE to wrap- bring your own or purchase from one of the dealers at the show. No smaller than 1″ x 2″ and no larger than 2″ x 3″.
> Round Nose Pliers
> Flat Nose Pliers
> Bent Nose Pliers
> Wire Cutters
> Flat File
> Tape measure or ruler
I am using Copper for several reasons; it is inexpensive and the temper is similar to dead soft Sterling or 14 Kt. Gold-filled Wire and is easy to work.
I will have some of these you can use for the class but bring your own if you have them:
>Various pliers
>Cutters for wire
>Crimping tool
>Files
>Measuring tape – ruler
